2026/3/19 Prof. Wah Guan Lim was invited to deliver a lecture at Lingnan University in Hong Kong, titled “Global Chinese Theatre: A Transnational Perspective.”
🌏 Lecture Title: Global Chinese Theatre: A Transnational Perspective
This lecture adopts a transnational perspective to explore the development of Chinese-language theatre within the context of global mobility and cultural exchange. It examines how such theatre is produced and transformed across diverse historical, social, and cultural settings. Drawing on a range of case studies, the speaker will analyze theatrical practices and representations in cross-cultural contexts, and further reflect on their position and significance within global cultural networks.
