The PhD program includes 2 years of coursework. On average, graduate students take 5 to 6 years to graduate.

All courses are taught in English. Apart from the required courses, which include Introduction to Transcultural Studies, Academic Writing, and Multidisciplinary Approaches to Taiwan Studies, we offer a broad range of electives that can be divided into the following modules:

2. Visuality and performance
3. Memory, media and materiality
