Speaker Bio:
Jaeho Kang is Professor in Critical Theory and Cultural Studies in the Department of Communication and a faculty affiliate of the Graduate Program in Comparative Literature and the Interdisciplinary Program in Gender Studies at Seoul National University. He is the author of Walter Benjamin and the Media: The Spectacle of Modernity (Polity Press, 2014) and a co-editor of Siegfried Kracauer: Selected Writings on Media, Propaganda and Political Communication (Columbia University Press, 2022). He is currently working on the book project, Seoul, the Spectacle of the Techno-City.
